They have the best climate for growing all kinds of fruit! On my last trip to Afghanistan a few months ago, I was so surprised to find out that they have the most incredible pomegranates!!! I visited a pomegranate farm in the southern city of Kandahar (one of the most dangerous cities in the country) and I found an amazing community of families enjoying life in the fields.
