Ever wondered how women ARC Laureate Fellows navigate their careers to achieve what they do? Join us* for a live Women in Research workshop at the University of Queensland for a unique opportunity to engage with some of UQ’s most accomplished women researchers and gain firsthand insights into their academic journeys. UQ’s Vice-Chancellor and President, Professor Deborah Terry, will open the event. Then ARC Laureate Fellow and John Curtin Distinguished Professor Sharon Parker (Curtin University), lead of the Women in Research initiative, will be joined by the following UQ women ARC Laureates for a panel discussion: Professor Jolanda Jetten, Head of the School of Psychology Professor Janeen Baxter, Director, Centre of Excellence for Children & Families Professor Gabrielle Belz, Innate Immunology Group, Frazer Institute Professor Karen Thorpe, Group Leader, Queensland Brain Institute Research Professor Sara Dolnicar, Tourism Department, UQ Business School Together, they will reflect on the experiences that have shaped their academic paths and leadership journeys, and answer your questions in an open, supportive forum. The panel will be followed by breakout groups with the audience for lively, interactive discussions with the Laureates about developing your career. *This event is organised by Dr Caroline Knight and the EDI committees of AIBN, UQ Business School, QAAFI, SMI, QBI, School of Psychology, School of Agriculture and Food Sustainability, IMB, and Faculty of Engineering, Architecture and Information Technology.
