A calm Sunday morning walk along the Kiekberg trail in the Sint-Jansberg Nature Reserve, near Plasmolen, Netherlands. The forest is waking up — the air feels cool and fresh, filled with the scent of damp earth and fallen leaves. Brown leaves softly rustle underfoot, while rays of golden light filter through the canopy. Some trees are wrapped in thick ivy, giving the forest a mysterious, timeless feel. The color palette shifts gradually from deep green to warm tones of amber, copper, and bronze. Birds sing above as water flows gently through the forest streams. After climbing the wooden steps, a breathtaking view opens over the lower forest — a deep ravine where a small spring begins and turns into a winding woodland creek. Along the trail I passed young tree plantations, fern meadows, a quiet pond, and the historic water mill, one of the landmarks of this region — it will have its own video soon. The Sint-Jansberg Reserve was shaped thousands of years ago during the Ice Age, when a massive glacier pushed the land and stopped here, forming these rolling hills.
