The Donnelly River is under threat by 'SFIS' a group of Individuals and Farms in the Manjimup area for irrigation purposes. The proposal is to pump twelve billion liters of water out of the only main river in the area into a massive dam on the Record Brook. This will cost an estimated 80-100 million dollars and possibly lead to the decimation of an entire ecosystem. The Dam site encompasses 80 hectares of pristine rare old-growth forest. The cost of the project is estimated between 80-100 million dollars with 90% funded by taxpayers, the water rights can then be on-sold for profit. Help us not only to preserve our Donnelly River but also protect an estimated 500 hectares of forest that will disappear with the creation of a 250 KLM water pipeline.
