The family has refused to hand over the body to police, demanding an FIR against IPS officer Y. Puran Kumar’s wife, IAS officer Amneet Kumar. Sandeep, posted at the Rohtak Cyber Cell, allegedly shot himself dead, leaving a three-page suicide note and a video accusing IPS Kumar of corruption, caste-based favouritism, and abuse of power. Speaking to MOJO Story, Sandeep’s younger brother said, “Our brother sacrificed his life for truth. He told me just a day before that things weren’t good in the department. He was an honest man he even travelled by public transport.” He added, “He should be given the status of a Shaheed. If the Chief Minister doesn’t take action, we will go for a bigger protest.” The incident has intensified the controversy surrounding IPS Kumar’s own alleged suicide.
