Scenario 1: Casino Capitalism—Financial Volatility & Member Resilience Scenario 2: Dugnadsånd in America—Local Resilience & Community Finance Scenario 3: Currency Culture War—Financial Identity & Institutional Neutrality Scenario 4: The Post-Scarcity Dividend—Exclusive Abundance & Cooperative Alternatives About this project: Institute for the Future (IFTF) partnered with MEMBERS Development Company (MDC) to create four video-based scenarios, for "Futures Worth Imagining," that are designed to help credit union owners and their teams explore the world of 2035. Built from IFTF research, targeted expert workshops, and a co-creation workshop with MDC and credit union participants, the four films present distinct, plausible futures and the forces and signals of change that could shape them. IFTF has designed the kit including a facilitator’s guide and set of videos, to equip MDC owners to run workshops and translate foresight into strategy and action across their organizations.
