Laparoscopic hysterectomy is called as the laparoscopic uterus removal. So in laparoscopy, we do put a small cuts like 1.5cm cut and we put a cut inside the abdomen, and 0.5 cms for our laparoscopic instrument to operate inside. So obviously we give small cuts on the tummy, the pain is very less compared to open surgery. Almost 70% of the pain in laparoscopy is very less compared to the open surgery and when we usually admit the patient, they will be discharged in 48 hours and after that they usually take 1 or 2 weeks to recover. Usually 90% of the times they recover in 10 to 12 days and they start working. For the open surgery it may take 2 to 4 weeks.
