My mother Googie is 83 and three quarters years old and still gardening three quarters of an acre of Cumbrian fell side out of which she has carved a long, triangular garden and into which she has planted a great many trees. When she came here thirty years ago there was nothing but rough boundary hedges. Whenever I visit her we try and find time for a wander round the garden, a few top tips from her, and a visit to the hedgehog family which lives in a little house under an old wheelbarrow. Enjoy!
