The red panda is a fascinating and unique species that inhabits the tropical forests of the mountains of Nepal, northern Myanmar, and central China. Also known as fire foxes or fire cats, red pandas are arboreal and spend most of their lives in trees, where they sleep in nests of evergreen leaves.
