This week on Bede’s Beat, our Word of the Week is Remembrance. As we approach Remembrance Day, we take time to stop, be still, and remember. We remember those who have given their lives in war and conflict — people who showed courage, sacrifice, and love so that others could live in peace. But remembrance is about more than looking back. It’s about how we choose to live now — building peace, showing love, and remembering others through our actions. This week we’re also collecting our Samaritan’s Purse Shoeboxes, filled with small gifts for children around the world. Each box is a reminder that kindness matters and that every person deserves to feel remembered and valued. And in November, we take time to remember our own loved ones who have died — family, friends, teachers, and others who have shaped our lives. We give thanks for them, for their love, and for the difference they’ve made.
