Soran in Iraqi Kurdistan - Surprise in the mountains

Soran is a tiny place in the mountains of Iraqi Kurdistan. In arabic language the city of Soran is called Diana. Very close to it is the "Behkal Waterfall" a beautiful location in the middle of nowhere, just a few kilometers from Rawandiz. Kurdish people go there to enjoy whilst having food or doing a picnic. I have been told, the best time to visit that place is in March or April. I visited Iraqi Kurdistan at the beginning of November, but anyways I was lucky, because I could enjoy warm and nice weather. But unfortunately the landscape was very dry and greyish after the hot summer. During the spring season it must be stunning. Apart of that I met many friendly and hospitable people during my journey through Iraqi Kurdistan.
