Thank you Prof. Simon Ng Siu Man (Hong Kong), the course director of this hybrid programme who made extremely great efforts to organize this high-standard and pioneering course “Lower GI Endo-Lap Hybrid Module”. The first part of this full day training started with a two-hours long lectures, we captured the essence from our legendary workshop with the presence of eleven notable speakers from the Asia-Pacific region – Prof. Simon Ng and Dr. Karen Tung (Hong Kong), Prof. Craig Lynch and Dr. Peadar Waters (Australia), Prof. Suk Hwan Lee and Prof. Yoon Suk Lee (Korea), Dr. Alfred Allen Buenafe and Dr. Joseph Fuentes (Philippines), and Prof. Vitoon Chinswangwatanakul and Prof. Chainarong Phalanusitthepha (Thailand) to share about “Endoscopic, Laparoscopic and Hybrid Surgery for Lower GI“ The second part of the programme involved closed group Endoscopic and Laparoscopic hands-on training. Our faculties nominated a total of 18 doctors from selected countries. They interacted through Zoom platform while performing endoscopy and laparoscopy hands-on procedures. This innovative training components integrated practical learning with virtual mentoring that aims to facilitate knowledge and skill exchange between countries for the development of Endo-Lap Surgery.
