The House of Representatives has urged the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to direct commercial banks to reverse customers' funds within the stipulated periods with or without customers complaints. This resolution followed its adoption of a motion on the 'Need to Restrain Commercial Banks from Holding Funds Reversal Beyond the Date Prescribed by the Central Bank of Nigeria' sponsored by Rep. Emmanuel Ukpong–Udo (YPP, AKwa Ibom) on Tuesday, March 12, 2024. Concerned about the spate of insecurity in the country, the Green Chamber has called on the National Security Adviser (NSA), Nuhu Ribadu, to coordinate all activities that will lead to the immediate and unconditional freedom of over 200 children and their teachers in Kuriga, Kaduna State. The motion was sponsored by Rep. Ahmed Mohammed Munir (APC, Kaduna).
