Ken Sugimori is the illustrator of the original artwork for the Pokemon Games. The original artwork for all 151 Generation 1 Pokemon were done by Ken Sugimori. His art style has changed over the years. Initially, his style was stiff, lightly shaded style using watercolors. Now, his digitally-produced drawings have gradually gained more muscle definition, significantly rounder corners, heavier shading, and more natural and fluid poses. He also designed more Pokemon cards than any other artist.
