Spain's cities are characterized by the fact that there are almost everywhere squares that invite people to linger and to communicate. As a rule you find shady trees and seating. Sometimes the squares are also used by local restaurants and bars. Our walk starts at the Espacio Metropol Parasol which we had already visited in the evenings. At daytime the beige desert like colors give the square a completely different character. In the basement, the market booths and bars are opened. We indulge ourselves with a cool drink in the heat. At daytime, the former marketplace, designed by Jürgen Mayer, exerts a similar fascination as with the colored illumination in the evenings. We dive back into the narrow picturesque streets of old town. Almost everywhere there is something to discover, like the facade of the Capilla de San Andres. The Capilla de San Andres is the seat of the Fraternity of Santa Marta and the Fraternity Gloria Nuestra Senora de Araceli. A little further, along Calle Angostillo, we reach the Plaza de San Andres. Here we find the Iglesia de San Andrés de San Andrés, a Catholic church built in the 14th century. In der Regel bieten sich Sitzgelegenheiten und schattenspendende Bäume. Manchmal werden die Plätze auch von umliegenden Restaurants und Bars genutzt. Unser Spaziergang beginnt beim Espacio Metropol Parasol, den wir bereits in den Abendstunden besucht hatten. Die beigen, wüstenartigen Farben verleihen ihm tagsüber einen völlig anderen Charakter. Im Untergeschoss sind die Markthallen und Bars geöffnet. Wir gönnen uns in der Hitze ein kühles Getränk. Der von Jürgen Mayer entworfene Marktplatz übt tagsüber eine ähnliche Faszination aus, wie abends mit farbiger Illumination. Wir tauchen wieder ein in die engen pittoresken Gassen der Altstadt. Fast überall gibt es etwas zu entdecken, wie die Fassade der Capilla de San Andres. Die Capilla de San Andres ist Sitz der Bruderschaft von Santa Marta und der Bruderschaft Gloria Nuestra Senora de Araceli. Ein kurzes Stück weiter durch die Calle Angostillo erreichen wir die Plaza de San Andres, die durch die Iglesia de San Andrés, einer im 14. Jahrhundert erbauten katholischen Kirche, abgeschlossen wird. Durch verschiedene Gassen und Straßen erreichen wir die Calle Feria mit dem Seit dem 18.Jahrhundert versorgte der Markt den nördlichen Teil Sevillas. Wer, wie wir, erst um die Mittagszeit kommt, kann allerdings nur noch die Reste der Fische sehen. Dennoch fanden wir die Hallen sehr ansprechend und der kleine Vorplatz zwischen Markt und Kirche scheint ein beliebter Treffpunkt zu sein. Die Kirche wurde 1249 erbaut und repräsentiert sehr schön den Baustil der Mudéjares, die den arabischen und gotischen Baustil in Einklang brachten.
