Join me on this rainy walk down the River Foss, within the beautiful City of York, England. A very wet day, although the birds still had much to sing about. I think I could hear a Song thrush, Blackbird, Wren, Blackcap and a Robin within the bird song. Let me know in the comments if you can identify any other birds. I also accidentally disturbed a Heron! This stretch of the River Foss is only 5 minutes from the famous Walls of York. Set in the heart of Yorkshire, York is one of England’s most historic and beautiful cities, offering a rich tapestry of heritage dating back to Roman times. Today, York is renowned for its well-preserved medieval architecture, including the iconic York Minster and featuring the famous Shambles, often regarded as the best-preserved medieval street in Europe.
