Exploring the amazing Elan Valley Back Roads

Hello and welcome back to our channel. You join us today at the Brynwye Guest House in Builth Wells ahead of today’s back road ride around the Elan Valley dams to the popular Two Hoots Tea Room near Devil’s Bridge in Aberystwth. It’s a lovely sunny morning and after an excellent Welsh breakfast we were keen to get out on the road. We’ll leave Builth Wells heading north to the market town of Rhayder and on to Elan Village where we join the Elan Valley Trail to the Claerwen dam. From there we continue north riding along the banks of the reservoir to ride across the Craig Goch Dam to join the mountain road Devil’s Bridge and the Two Hoots Tea Roof in Pontarfynach. The roads and scenery in the Elan Valley are simply stunning and if you've never ridden here, we can absolutely recommend it. Just a quick apology for the occasional drop in sound quality. Again, one of our GoPro cameras let us down by choosing to switch to the front microphone rather than recording from the helmet microphone. We've done our best to fix the audio.
