While there’s nothing wrong in aspiring to be a content creator (especially considering how it’s a multibillion-dollar industry and is just getting started, especially in India), it’s also vital to be mindful of every aspect that goes behind it. In fact, we have come to a point where it’s often advised to new businesses to start creating content around their products/services, often advocating starting a personal brand first, cracking distribution, and then starting a business and monetizing the audience. In essence, content creation offers diverse rewards, but it's not a one-size-fits-all endeavor and certainly not always glamorous. Therefore, a talk addressing this, serving as both a guide for those exploring the industry and an eye-opener for many, holds the potential to significantly influence how viewers perceive emerging career paths, innovative concepts, and the capacity for social change. Furthermore, the inclusion of a personal narrative about a Chartered Accountant transitioning to a full-time content creator adds a compelling layer, creating a genuine connection with the audience. Visha Khandelwal is a Chartered Accountant turned Content Creator with an impressive presence on Youtube and Instagram collating to a total of over 260k followers. Her journey as a Travel Vlogger has taken her places and she is also a Youtube Product Expert now. She is a self-motivated educator & with a zeal to give back, she has so far trained over 500 budding filmmakers in her independently run workshops. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
