When drifting became a bigger part of winning races we really had to learn this. I am actually surprised that somehow muscle memory kicks in and I am able to not only create a gap but also mocking the game by doing overdrifts passing the finish.🏁 In Ridge Racer you can't look behind you. You can only listen to the car(s) behind you and when you are driving in front keep a close eye on the minimap to look at the gap. Can you afford that drift that is always risky or is your boostlevel ok? That is the strategy part of the race that keeps building with each level and that is the reason why so many people still play this version today in 2026. The game shows its age but it was and is a great game. You may have noticed that unlike in my other uploads I keep the music in. The soundtrack of Ridge Racer is a big part of the game.
