Painting the Super Smash Bros Ultimate Classic Mode Mural

Watch me paint the mural from Super Smash Bros Ultimate: Classic Mode! Acrylics on particle board 7ft by 11in This took me about 6 months, and the video has been sped up 20,000x. I wanted to paint this piece in brighter colors than the original, as if it were still new. I also wanted to have the characters that were in the foreground overlap the border. I started out with the footboard from an old king-sized Ikea bed, and printed out a copy of the image that was resized to be the same size as the board. After sanding and painting a base coat, I used the printout to mark where each character should go, so that I could paint the background colors in the right places. Once the background was done, I went back and painted all of the characters that were in the background of the image - anyone who was overlapped by another character. Then, I added the "middleground" characters - ones that overlapped the background characters. Before the final layer of characters, I added the borders. Finally, I went back and added all of the characters who would overlap the boarders of the images. I hope you enjoy watching!
