Dr. Broome: Infections are catastrophic complications in joint replacement surgeries. So we have a lot of steps and processes in place to prevent that. And so it starts on the front end, everyone's gonna get an antibacterial soap that we want them to shower with starting a day or two before the surgery. And again, the day of surgery, we have wipes that we will get in the preoperative area to sterilize the surgical site, we have a swab for your nose to prevent bacteria colonization in the nose during the procedure, you're gonna get a sterile surgical prep, the whole process in the room is geared at eliminating the airflow and the foot traffic through the room so we can eliminate any risk for that. We typically wear more than one surgical glove and you know everything is is sterile, and that continues to the time that you get to your room afterwards.
