Merry Christmas! To celebrate this iconic holiday, I paid a tribute to the main villain that is in a movie that started off as a Halloween movie but then ended as Christmas movie. Which is Oogie Boogie. Matter of fact, he is definitely one of my favorite villains out there and he was my favorite part of Nightmare Before Christmas. Especially because of how memorable and authentic he is. He has an eerie appearance, cunning personality, and love for gambling, he adds a whole new level of intrigue to the story. The fact that he is a created burlap sack filled with bugs makes him even more authentic and creative with how he was developed from the writers. I also loved his role in the game Oogie's Revenge which is basically a sequel to the film but rather a video game. It was so cool to see how consistent he was at trying to take over Halloween town as his own and wreak havoc on the holiday festivities. He cared so much about being the one in control and spread fear and chaos. But I loved the scene at the end where he becomes a giant and insanely strong and powerful which was very badass and his design appeared pretty dark. Not much else I can say, but just the fact that he is such a cool villain. Whether its his persona, intentions, humor, Oogie Boogie is a AMAZING villain. Who is just perfect in every way.
