It is used as a form of punishment in ancient India and asian countries in school and it has proven to help concentration and behaviour. It is utilized mostly to boys and seldom to girls with the asian cultures. Since modern times, it is not being done in schools as it was before. I will discuss the benefits and dissect the step by step proper way of doing this yoga pose Yoga Murghasana Pose Challenge Its Benefits and Posture, this will help strengthen your lower extremities, helps constipation, have glowing skin . I also demonstrated the progression of knee extension to further strength the hamstrings and quadriceps then challenge the coordination and ankle strength and stability with the walk forward an dbackward. I also discussed the difference between the Uttanasana and the muscles it strengthens as it has some similarities. The end pose looks the same but the way it is done is different as discussed. The Uttannasa starts with a forward fold through the hip joint while keeping back straight, hwoever with this pose Murghasana, it is a deep squat as well as there is an acupressure on the ears for the sensation and different stretch for the neck muscles. The Murghasana targets the glutes, quads, and ankle dorsiflexors concentric and eccentric on the calf muscles.
