We Built a Ballast Tamper

One of our many winter projects this year was building a track tamper to hold our HIlti TE 500-22. This will be a big improvement over doing it by hand. We look forward to trying it out this spring when the tracks aren't covered in snow. Our little Western Wisconsin railroad is a 36" gauge private project dedicated to the preservation and restoration of old industrial narrow gauge railroading.
