While most people stop at Bali, we wanted to go beyond and see the real, raw Indonesia — filled with volcanoes, massive waterfalls, and surreal landscapes. In this vlog, we’re sharing our complete 3-day East Java itinerary covering Tumpak Sewu Waterfall, Mount Bromo, and Kawah Ijen Volcano — all arranged through Klook. Book your trip here- https://www.klook.com/ Our Day 1 started with the mighty Tumpak Sewu Waterfall, often called the most beautiful waterfall in Indonesia. Hidden deep inside the jungle, this place looked straight out of a fantasy movie! The trek down took around 40 minutes, and standing at the base — surrounded by hundreds of thin water streams — felt unreal. Every second there was worth the hike, and if you’re visiting East Java, Tumpak Sewu should be on top of your list. After exploring the waterfall, we drove to Mount Tengger National Park, where our stay was arranged by Klook. The temperature dropped drastically, and the vibe of the small mountain village made it feel like we were somewhere in the Himalayas! Early next morning, around 3 AM, we hopped into a jeep to watch the sunrise over Mount Bromo. Later, we hiked right up to the crater rim and watched smoke rise from inside the volcano. It honestly felt like being on another planet! From Bromo, our next destination was Kawah Ijen, known for its unique blue fire phenomenon. Our accommodation in Bondowoso town (base village for Ijen) was also handled by Klook, and everything from pickup to guidance was perfectly managed. We started the trek around midnight, climbing under a sky full of stars. The two-hour hike led us to the crater, where we witnessed the famous blue flames glowing in the dark — something truly once-in-a-lifetime. When sunrise hit, the crater lake turned a stunning turquoise color, making all the effort worthwhile.
