Spanish interpretation of webinar: National Center for Farmworker Health (NCFH) and National Migrant Seasonal Head Start (NMSHS) for a dynamic webinar on developing and implementing an effective Community Committee model. You’ll learn proven strategies from NMSHS’s work with Head Start parent committees and NCFH’s own Farmworker Committee, including recruitment, engagement, training, and long-term sustainability. The session will also serve as a review of NCFH’s new toolkit, Establishing & Sustaining a Community Committee. Community-based organizations (CBOs), health departments, and other supporters serving farmworker and Refugee, Immigrant, and Migratory (RIM) Populations can benefit from inviting community members into the decision-making process to strengthen trust and build lasting relationships between the organization and the community.
