Sep 9, 2025 5:42pm While on my way back from my 2nd Vegas trip in this year, I made it in time to get a couple manifest trains meeting here in Fresno. I setup here at the W Shaw Ave bypass shoofly temporary crossing while the area of the old original crossing which was to the right removed for construction on the W Shaw Ave overpass to grade separate it from the railroad tracks related to the CAHSR project. Glad I was able to get a video of both the main crossing before it was removed and the temporary crossing while it exists as this shoofly crossing is only here till the overpass is complete and opens. They call this also a bypass as the shoofly cuts N Golden State Boulevard instead of intersecting with it thus temporarily closing N Golden State Blvd as W Shaw Ave bypasses it straight to N Cornelia Ave. Union Pacific Railroad Manifest freight trains on the UP Fresno Sub meet and pass through the West Shaw Avenue Bypass temporary shoofly railroad crossing in Fresno, California.
