The saga The Mummy was developed by Universal Pictures in the 1990s. It tells the story of Rick and Evelyn O'Connel. The first film was written and directed by Stephen Sommers. In 1935, 10 years after the end of the first film, Rick (Brendan Fraser from George of the Jungle) and Evelyn (Rachel Weisz from Stalingrad and Jason Bourne: The Legacy) O'Connel moved to London, where they are raising their son.
