Featured Presenter: Katie Arrington, MPH, Boulder County (CO) Recovery and Resiliency Program Manager Bio: Katie has been working for Boulder County since 2013. • Katie has her M.P.H. with a specialization in emergency preparedness from the University of California, Los Angeles. • Katie’s passion is in community engagement examining racial equity issues during short and long-term recovery. She is a certified practitioner in the Courageous Conversations About Race protocol and is deeply committed to equity work. • Katie has a passion for the mental health impacts of disasters on survivors and secondary responders and recently completed her certification in Forest and Nature Therapy – to help those populations better reconnect to the land after a disaster.
