"Today, some of the biggest challenges we face include the global housing crisis and climate change. Mithun and Aspect have partnered with Forterra, a local Pacific Northwest non-profit, to address those challenges by utilizing local, sustainable material and innovative construction technologies as a foundation for attainable housing models in Washington State. The volumetric modular and mass timber approach necessitates an understanding of the process; from harvesting of the material to the manufacturing process to site erection and construction. The modular prototype and Wadajir Multi-Family Housing in Tukwila, WA, along with the Darrington Wood Innovation Center in Snohomish County are projects that serve as part of this mission and require a highly integrated approach to design and delivery."
