Workshop Pectus Excavatum Tenon Hospital (Paris) Assessment (19/06/19)

Organised in collaboration with Tenon Hospital and Sebbin Laboratories, we managed on June 19th, 2019 a training workshop on the 3D custom-made implants technique for Pectus Excavatum This day was an opportunity to train thoracic, pediatric and plastic surgeons from many countries: France, Belgium, Spain, Tunisia and Chile. The training took place in 2 steps : During the morning where Prof. Assouad, Prof. Chavoin and Dr Debrosse could present and teach the technique to participants Then in the afternoon, Prof. Chavoin and Prof. Assouad performed a live stream operation broadcasted to other surgeons who were able to interact and ask questions during the course of the surgery. The patient was a 35-year-old man with a type 2 Pectus previously operated with the Nuss technique (which failed to correct the thoracic deformity). VERSION FRANÇAISE Organisé en collaboration avec l'Hôpital Tenon AP-HP et les laboratoires Sebbin, nous avons tenu le 19 Juin 2019 un atelier de formation à la méthode de comblement du Pectus Excavatum par implant 3D sur-mesure. Cette journée a été l'occasion de former des chirurgiens thoraciques, pédiatriques et plasticiens de tout horizons : France, Belgique, Espagne, Tunisie mais aussi Chili. La formation s'est déroulée en 2 temps : la matinée en mini-conférence où le Pr Assouad, le Pr Chavoin et le Dr Debrosse ont pu présenter et enseigner la technique aux participants, l'après-midi le Pr Chavoin et le Pr Assouad ont réalisé une opération retransmise en directe aux autres chirurgiens qui ont pu interagir et poser leurs questions pendant le déroulement de l'intervention. Le patient opéré était un homme de 35 ans présentant un Pectus de type 2 et constituant une reprise de Nuss (l'opération antérieure via la technique de Nuss n'ayant pas aboutit au redressement de la cage thoracique).
