I launched from the Oyster Recycling Landing, only to find myself fishing a flood tide — definitely not my favorite. With strong winds pushing bait deep into the creeks, I gave it a shot but only managed to hook one bluefish. Determined not to leave empty-handed, I made a late-day run against the wind to the flats in search of a redfish. It was still blowing hard out there, but the move paid off: I landed a 15" flounder and a 22.5" redfish that turned the whole day around!
