Tasked with preserving the historical floor plan whilst making it more casual and functional, interior design studio Dax I drew inspiration from the architecture and materials of the building and its surrounds, using a series of rich colours to add a sense of depth and elegance to the space. The fiery red of the entryway sets the tone for the apartment and leads into the combined kitchen and dining area, where a compact but fully equipped all-black kitchen subtly contrasts the dark blue-grey (Inchyra Blue) painted walls. A floating sideboard painted in the same Inchyra Blue provides pantry space for the kitchen whilst a round cherry wood dining table fits perfectly into the small corner of the room.
