BENEVENTOCORE: lost gems and rarities from the pagan empire Radio Raheem invited me for a guest mix to celebrate the release of Crushed Angels, and I made it about Benevento. Aired 22/10/2025 In 2022 I curated "Lick The Witch - Beneventowave Vol.1", a compilation tracing 30 years of electronic music from my hometown. (The name comes from Benevento’s deep-rooted esoteric heritage and centuries-old witchcraft culture still carved in the province’s identity.) The idea actually started a decade earlier and was meant to focus on the metal, punk, psych, and rock scenes that truly shaped the place, and me while growing up. Due to lack of time and funding, Vol.2 never came out, so this mix offers a glimpse of what it would’ve been: sounds from Sannio with no genre boundaries, including lost media like Psychonauts (one of the first tracks I ever made at 14, in 2009) and music from my old band Lumina Solis. Dedicated to Massimo Ben, featured in Vol.1, who passed away last year.
