In some elderly, fear of contracting the disease has made them not access medical care for other ailments and chronic conditions. We see patients coming to us at a later stage when the medical condition is out of control and they have suffered in silence. To celebrate World Senior Citizens Day, CURI Hospital in association with the Inner Wheel Club of Madras South hosted a webinar to the members of the Inner wheel club on Thursday,3rd September 2020. The speakers of the day were Dr.Ananthakrishnan Sivaraman, Director, Consultant Urologist, and Robotic Surgeon, CURI Hospital, and Dr V L Vaishnavi, Consultant Urogynaecologist, CURI Hospital. They spoke about common urological problems and incontinence in women which are the commonest prevailing symptoms among senior citizens. Dr.Ananthakrishnan Sivaraman also addressed the importance of Robotic Surgery, the advanced treatment modalities used for cancer patients.
