A tragedy in hockey😢

The hockey world mourns as we learn about an on-ice tragedy that took the life of former NHL ice hockey player, Adam Johnson over the weekend. Johnson previously played for the Pittsburgh Penguins over parts of the 2018-19 and 2019-2020 seasons. Before joining Pittsburgh, Johnson played collegiate hockey at the University of Minnesota Duluth for a couple seasons. Johnson joined the Nottingham Panthers this summer to play in The Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL) which is the top hockey league in Britain. During a recent game against the Sheffield Steelers, Johnson collided with another player and suffered a serious cut to his neck from an ice skate. He was taken to a hospital but sadly died a short time afterwards from the injury. RIP Adam Johnson.
