Uncle Scott's Mom's Cornbread Recipe: (Also made in this video:    • Cornbread Dressing Recipe: How to Make Cor...  ) Preheat a cast iron pan along with your oven for 25 minutes to 450F Make a batter with 2 cups of self-rising cornmeal, 2 beaten eggs, and two cups buttermilk; mix Optional: add a can of drained whole kernel corn and/or drained green chiles Add at least four tablespoons of Crisco to the hot pan, return it to the oven for two minutes, remove, pour hot oil into batter, mix well Pour batter into hot pan (should still have ample hot grease) Into the 450 overnight for 13 minutes, rotate pan, check for doneness after another ten minutes Turn cornbread out on wire rack to cook Chow down 👍Uncle Scott's Great Home Cooks Club👍 For about the price of one fast food value meal you can join Uncle Scott's Great Home Cooks Club.
