Every now and then I have some patterns that need to be updated because newer and better materials have came out since the original video was made. This is one of those flies. I tied a very similar version of this fly 8 years ago using UV Polar Chenille. Since that time a better material has came alone to make the abdomen section of this pattern. Electric Eggstasy make a much nicer and fuller body for the fly. I got rid of the foam head and started using some leather instead which will help it to sink better. I also switched from using a 25mm shank to using a Firehole 839 size 4 hook to have a better hookup percentage.
