Ikea Micke - is the desk big enough for you? Will you manage to put a multimedia keyboard and 21" monitor on it? Isn’t the desktop too narrow for both a laptop and some papers? Is all your gaming gear going to fit nicely? Even if you have checked dimensions beforehand it's sometimes hard to be sure whether you will have plenty of room for the equipment or if the desk top will be really crammed. The Micke series is designed for small rooms and tight spaces. But if you have much more stuff than just a PC you might wonder if the work surface is big enough for you. Surprisingly, even though this model seems rather small, the working space is decent and can hold quite a lot. You can also have a good amount of storage space if you decide not to keep the computer tower inside the unit. Watch my film to see if the Micke desk with storage unit is going to work for you. I've given measurements both large and small keyboards so you’ll see straight away if the desk is going to meet your needs. You should be able to make the correct final decision easily. You can mount the storage unit either to the right or left, depending on your needs and available space. Adjustable shelves in the storage unit allow you to regulate their height, according to your preference. Alternatively, you can remove them completely if you need more space e.g. to held a computer tower. An opening in the back panel is not ideal if you want to use the cabinet for storage. But it's a great feature if you decide to put the computer or other electronic equipment there as it provides fairly decent ventilation. Extra drawer units the exact height of the desk are available. Very handy when you want to extend the working space.
