One of the most dramatic moments in Celegorm’s story was his encounter with Lúthien. Though he fell in love with her, his intentions were selfish, aiming to claim her and strengthen his power. Yet, Huan betrayed him out of loyalty to Lúthien, saving her and thwarting Celegorm’s plans. In the final chapters of his life, Celegorm joined the Maedhros Alliance and fought in the Battle of Nirnaeth Arnoediad. Eventually, he sought the Silmaril from Doriath but was killed by Dior, and the jewel he coveted was taken by Elwing to the Havens of Sirion.
