Thank you for joining me on this 5 day, solo, unsupported, bikepacking adventure through the San Rafael Swell. This was my favorite bikepacking adventure so far. The views, the solitude, and the terrain...AWESOME. Once again, the wind affected both the audio in the video and my ability to fly my drone. Thanks in advance for your understanding. The San Rafael Swell is a geological area located near the center of Utah here in the U.S. It cover about 2000 square miles (5179 sq km). The land here "swelled" upward about 40 million years ago. It's a giant anticline of sandstone, shale and limestone. The area was also heavily explored during the 1950's for uranium and there are relics of this era in many locations. My original plan was a 200mile (322km) loop that included part of Capitol Reef National Park. You can find it here... https://bikepacking.com/routes/stone-...
