📟 Project Showcase: Human Activity Recognition (HAR) using STM32F4 & Embedded AI At Semicore Technologies, we believe in learning by doing. Our students—Manoj, Pranit, and Ganesh—have successfully engineered a real-time Human Activity Recognition (HAR) system. This project demonstrates the seamless integration of hardware, software, and data processing. 🏗️ The Technical Architecture Microcontroller: STM32F446RE (ARM Cortex-M4) – The "Brain" of the system. Sensor: LSM6DSR (3D Accelerometer & 3D Gyroscope) – Capturing motion data. Communication Protocol: I2C (Inter-Integrated Circuit) used for high-speed data transfer between the sensor (slave) and the MCU (master). Display: 16x2 LCD via GPIO control to provide real-time status updates. ⚙️ The Workflow Data Acquisition: The LSM6DSR sensor tracks linear acceleration and angular velocity in real-time. Embedded C Processing: The STM32 microcontroller reads these raw values via I2C. Activity Classification: Using custom-built logic and threshold values, the system classifies human motion into three states: Stationary, Walking, or Running. Real-Time Output: The detected activity is instantly displayed on the LCD for the user. 🌟 Why This Project Matters This isn't just a mini-project—it’s the foundation for modern Wearable Tech, Fitness Trackers, and Patient Monitoring Systems. By mastering the STM32 ecosystem, our students are ready for top-tier roles in the semiconductor and embedded industries.
