Custom Longarm Quilting Deep Dive - Holly Jolly Build a Quilt 2021

I'm so happy to share this custom quilting journey with you! I've been working on this quilt since 2021 as part of the Quilting is My Therapy Build-A-Quilt program. I decided that this quilt deserved custom quilting and would be my star entry to this year's Oregon State Fair (fingers crossed I'll get a ribbon!). This video is a walkthrough of my personal approach to planning and executing custom quilting on my Handi Quilter Avante longarm machine. I use mostly free-motion and ruler quilting, but there are a few computerized designs thrown in the mix. The quilt top is made of Holly Jolly fabrics designed by ‪@AngelaWaltersfmq‬ The backing fabric is a red/silver sparkle Cuddle fabric by Shannon Fabrics, and I'm using Glide 40wt thread in White. I think I went through about 10 bobbins for this whole quilt since it's about 90" square.
