A visitor should be fed, but this one could eat you out of house and home ... literally! A tale very much in the style of 1950's disaster movies. It would not surprise me if it inspired a few of them. Robert Sheckley (1928-2005) rapidly became a successful author of Science Fiction and, later, Suspense. He enjoyed a long career with over a hundred short stories and a brace of novels to his name. I don't think I have read anything by him that I did not like. No background music, by popular demand.
