Chandran Nair is the Founder and CEO of the Global Institute For Tomorrow, an independent pan-Asian think tank. With a wealth of experience in business management, sustainability, development issues and climate change, Mr. Nair advises governments and multinational corporations on policies, business models and operations. His work focuses on the need for ethical governance of digital tools and AI, advocating for frameworks that ensure technology serves society rather than disrupts it. Prior to GIFT, he was Chairman of Environmental Resources Management (ERM) in Asia Pacific for over a decade until 2004. Mr. Nair is also a member of various leading international organisations such as the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL)’s Global Steering Committee for The Business and Sustainability Programme, the World Economic Forum (WEF)’s Global Agenda Council on Governance for Sustainability and Experts Forum and the Club of Rome. His latest literary work, "Understanding China: Governance, Socio-Economics, Global Influence", offers a long-overdue, balanced, and objective perspective on China’s transformation from a constrained economy in the late 1970s to a leading global power in 2025.
