Action Nan walks from Porthcurno to Newlyn for the RNLI Penlee Lifeboat

Action Nan Pat Smith set off at 9am on the 18th of April 2016 to complete a 12 mile section of her charity walk of the entire Cornish coastal path. The Charity she is raising money for is the RNLI Penlee Lifeboat. This section of the walk is particularly beautiful and also is the section of coast where on the 19th of December 1981, the Union Star suffered engine failure in a force 12 storm and the Penlee Lifeboat (The Solomon Brown) was lost with all hands perishing.
