We drove out to the Eastern Sierras expecting a chill weekend of fishing, camping, and good food… but after two full days of trying different spots, different bait, and exploring the area, we still hadn’t caught a single fish. We cooked, set up camp, walked the river, and honestly got to the point where we were ready to pack up and leave. Then, at the very last place we tried… everything changed. This trip ended up being extra special because it was also my girlfriend’s first Eastern Sierra trout, turning what felt like a skunked weekend into a memory we’ll never forget.
