Remastered for 2025, with all the necessary improvements to make everything sound more natural, but maintaining the essence of my original recreation. Basically, how it should sound from the beginning, without using Electric Shock samples, but creating a new rhythm, that sounds natural and like a real Plastic Beach song, since not everyone can hear the previous recreation, since it was blocked in many countries... So here you have it, a Fresh Arrivals that can be heard anywhere in the world and above all, is the closest to its description: "The last of three Mos Def tracks recorded for 'Plastic Beach' -- Revealed by Damon in a 2023 interview with Zane Lowe that a "Mos Def and Souleyman" track was made in Studio 13 and was described as "really great" and that Mos Def still wants it out. Confirmed to have been replaced by "Sweeptstakes" on a tracklist of Plastic Beach. Might be a finished version of "NTL / Omar Song". This song will most likely be released in 2030 for the 20th anniversary of Plastic Beach." And since no one wants to wait until 2030 for this song, I decided to bring this recreation back from the second edition of the Super Deluxe, since for me and for many, it is the definitive recreation of Fresh Arrivals. I hope you enjoy it as much as I liked remastering it, in the process I had many memories of when I was making it for the first time... The songs used in this recreation were: The Embassy (Lyrics) - The Ecstatic by Mos Def Khattaba (Instrumental and Lyrics) - Wenu Wenu by Omar Souleyman The Marvelous Dream (Lyrics for 2D) - Dr Dee by Damon Albarn. Inspired by @sea-sides & @eggbeatz Disclaimer: The songs used in this recreation are not mine. All rights to EMI, Gorillaz, Omar Souleyman, Mos Def, Ribbon Music and Downtown Music.
