“A powerful example of partnership in action.” – First Minister John Swinney. We’re proud to share that Scotland’s First Minister has welcomed our £80 million contribution to communities across Scotland, recognising it as a model for how the clean energy transition can deliver real, lasting benefits for people and places. This landmark investment in Scotland forms a major part of the £100m we’ve committed so far in voluntary funding to communities across the UK and Ireland. Over the last 25+ years, we’ve supported more than 11,000 communities — funding projects that make a lasting difference: 📕 £23M+ in education & skills – from rural apprenticeships to supporting 700+ scholars 🏡 £65M in sustainable communities – including 111 community-owned homes and 873 local assets 🍃 £12M for climate and nature – enabling over 2,000 green energy initiatives As we accelerate towards Clean Power 2030, we invite policymakers, community leaders, and industry partners to join us in shaping a future where every community shares in the benefits of a greener economy.
