Welcome back! I wanted to put together a brief video for you all to go over a crucial mod if you're planning on using an AOD for your classic Cougar, Mustang, Bronco etc. I decided after calculating costs with a TKX 5 speed going north of $5k to stick with the old AOD for my Pro touring 1968 Cougar. This AOD was actually a gift from my brother many years ago that he ended up yanking out of his Fox Body Mustang, for years it was sitting in my parents garage and then my garage for a few years more. Now that I'm nearing the installation of the motor and soon the transmission, I thought I'd read up on the AOD and most importantly its limitations. The good thing is that I confirmed with my brother that he rebuilt/beefed up the transmission years ago and added a shift kit to manually shift it as needed.
